Traditional Burial Services allow families to have a public or private visitation where the loved one is prepared for a viewing held at the funeral home, funeral services may be held at the funeral home with a priest or a pastor or a mass is celebrated at a church, and the burial of the casket would immediately follow at the cemetery with a funeral procession- either privately with the immediate family or it may be open to the public. 

Families also have the option for an Immediate Burial where the funeral director will meet the family at the cemetery with the casket and have a small graveside service presided by the funeral director, a priest or a minister. Immediate burials are typically private for the immediate family but may be open to the public.   

Cremation is just one small aspect of what we offer to our families. The beautiful aspect of cremation is that it takes the element of time directly out of the picture. From a simple cremation and returning a loved one back to the family, to having a memorial visitation with services at the funeral home, a celebration of life at a venue of a family's choice and everything in between. Services may be held in a week, a month or even years down the road when a family is ready. 

Families have to option of being able to have a visitation of a loved one with an open or closed casket by renting a casket instead of purchasing a casket, have funeral services or a celebration of life either at the funeral home or a church and then the loved one is cremated after the services have been concluded. 

After the cremation has been completed, families have the option to bring their loved one home, have a burial service at a cemetery or scattering of the cremated remains.

 

We offer Green Burial services for individuals who wish to have a natural, holistic funeral service or Celebration of Life. We offer biodegradable and natural material caskets such as hardwood, bamboo and seagrass caskets. We use nontoxic and biodegradable products when preparing the deceased for green burial. 

Families may have a private visitation at the funeral home prior to going to the cemetery. A Celebration of Life may be held at the cemetery with family and friends gathered.

We offer Military Honors to all veterans who served our country. We coordinate military honors with the specific branch the veteran served in and arrange for their services. We also will obtain a burial flag to be folded for the veteran and arrange services if the veteran was a member of a VFW or Legion Post. We will also assist families with filing veteran stone applications with the cemetery the veteran will be interred in.  The only document that is required is the veteran's military discharge papers (DD-214).

With prearranging funeral services, it allows the discussion for what kind of funeral services one wishes suits their wants and needs. We customize all of our funeral services to each individual because every funeral is not the same. Whether it’s a simple cremation, a viewing with a church service, a celebration of life and anything in between, being able to discuss these options and have your ideas written down can take an emotional toll off of your loved ones.

The questions of “Did dad want to be viewed or cremated? What casket would mom have wanted? Do you think dad would have liked this urn or that urn? Did mom want a church service or a celebration of life? Do we want an obituary or a death notice? Did mom have any cemetery property or do we have to go select a cemetery?” are just of the hundreds of overwhelming questions I’ve heard families ask

themselves when there was no prearrangements made. When making prearrangements, all of these questions can answered. The best part is, changes can be made over time, nothing is set entirely in stone unless an individual would like it set in stone.
