WIND- Gerald “Jerry”

of Hamburg, NY died on April 26, 2023 at the age of 81. Jerry was a US Army Vietnam War Veteran, a retired auto worker and an avid swimmer; Beloved and hardworking husband of 52 years to Joy Wind (nee Yaw); Devoted father of Cheryl (Charlie Pacholek) and Joel (Lia Pinelli) Wind and step- father of Chuck (Kristin) Kowalske; Cherished grandfather of Chad W. and Carly W. Pacholek and Kai Wind, step-grandfather of Emily Kowalske; Loving son of the late Arthur and Loretta Wind (nee Quinn); Fond son-in-law of the late Arline Yaw (nee Lyons); Dear brother of Maureen (late Jack) O’Connell and the late Arthur (late Dawn) Wind; Adored uncle of Colleen Rozek, Joseph O’Connell, Michael O’Connell, Maureen Terreri and Kathleen McElligott, and Arthur, Keith and Scott Wind; also survived by relatives, friends and neighbors. Family will receive friends on Monday, May 1st from 3-7 PM at LOOMIS, OFFERS & LOMIS INC. FUNERAL HOME (Hamburg Chapel) 207 Main Street. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 2nd at 10 AM at Saints Peter and Paul R.C. Church- Hamburg, NY. Please assemble at church.
