VILLEPIGUE, William A., 88, of Hamburg, NY passed away peacefully August 30, 2026. Beloved fiancé of Janice (Nee Wittmeyer) Terry. Pre-deceased by his parents William J. and Dorothy R Villepigue, sisters Esther (Richard) Voss and Aureta (Edward) Koepp. Loving father of Patricia (Paul) Felegy, Sharon (Craig) Hoover and Amy (Glenn) Bollinger. Cherished grandpa/gramps of Rebecca (Matthew) Nieves, Zachary (Melanie) Hoover, Morgan Hoover and Melissa (fiancé Ryan) Bollinger. Great Grandpa to three sweet great granddaughters Keeley Nieves, Eloise Nieves and Haven Hoover. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Bill was a proud U.S. Army veteran and a longtime member of the Hamburg Volunteer Fire Department and Hamburg United Methodist Church. He was a prior member, and enjoyed singing with, the Friends of Harmony Men’s Chorus.
He enjoyed woodworking and making many beautiful gifts for family and friends, pieces that will be cherished and passed on to future generations.
He loved everything Hamburg and could very often be seen riding his bike through the Village, talking to anyone he encountered along the way, becoming fast friends and ending up at ZJ's his favorite place for coffee. Most of all he loved spending time with Janice and every chance he could with his daughters and grandchildren.
Private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorials in Bill's name may be made to Hospice Buffalo Inc. Funeral Arrangements entrusted to Loomis, Offers & Loomis, Inc. Hamburg Chapel. 
Bill was my best friend’s dad, but somewhere along the way, he became a part of my family too. He had a way of making me feel like I belonged, and I will always be grateful for that.
He called me “Swanee Rivers.” It was such a silly, special little thing between us, but now it means more to me than I could ever explain. I would give anything to hear him say it one more time.
That’s what I’ll miss most—the little things. His voice. His laugh. The way he could make you smile without even trying. The feeling of being welcomed and loved just by being around him.
