Beloved husband of the late Clarissa Tills and Catherine Tills; cherished father of Matthew Tills and Stephen Tills; loving grandfather of Christine McBride, Bailey Tills and Riley Tills; dearest brother of Judith (Bruce) Gregory and the late Ronald (surviving Beth) Tills; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Friday, January 16th from 3-7 PM at LOOMIS, OFFERS & LOOMIS INC. FUNERAL HOME (Hamburg Chapel) 207 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may to the North Boston Fire Company or the Boston Lions Club. He graduated from Hamburg High School. He went to undergraduate and law school at the University of Buffalo. He was in the Army for 2 years, stationed in Texas. He began a law practice with his brother, Ronald Tills. That firm expanded to become Abbott, Tills, Tills and Knapp. He was the Justice of the Peace for the Town of Boston for many years. He was named Citizen of the Year by the Boston chamber of commerce in 1992. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Springville Country Club for over 50 years. He was a member of many organizations, including the Masonic Lodge, Shriners and the Kiwanis club. He attended Faith United Church of Christ in Boston, New York. He was a volunteer fireman with the North Boston Fire Company for many years. There will be a Memorial Service on May 23, 2026 at 3 PM at Faith United Church of Christ- Boston, NY.
