MUMBACH- Benjamin William

Aug 24
1 min read

Benjamin William Mumbach, born November 20, 1970, in Buffalo, NY, left this world on August 19, 2026, after courageously battling pancreatic cancer.

Benjamin, the beloved son of John and Roseann Mumbach joins his father, Papa John, and nephew, Darius Duggan, in eternal peace. He is survived by his loving partner of 30 years, Jenny (Carrig), their children, Winter, Sage, and Isabelle. Ben is the coolest and possibly favorite sibling to Lee Ann, Christopher, Mary-Jo (Daniel Duggan), Joseph (Kim), Luke, Martha, Jennifer (Patrick Reagan), Sarah (Justin Takas) and a steadfast uncle to 26 nieces and nephews whom he reminded regularly, “You know who to call if you need bail”. Ben’s greatest pride was his children, who radiate his selfless, kindhearted, and patient demeanor.

He walked through life as a gentle soul. If you knew Ben, you were blessed. In the words of an Australian Aboriginal Proverb… We are all visitors to this time, this place. We are just passing through. Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love…and then we return home.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, September 5th from 3 to 4:30 at Hamburg Presbyterian Church 177 Main Street Hamburg followed by the funeral service at 4:30. All are welcome to join us for a party afterwards at the Takas house 144 Huntington Court Hamburg. Bring your laughter, your tears, your stories, your open arms.

Donations can be made to Hawk Creek Wildlife in Benjamin's memory. https://www.hawkcreek.org/product/donate/

Funeral arrangements entrusted to LOOMIS, OFFERS & LOOMIS INC. FUNERAL HOME (Hamburg Chapel).

I met Ben only a handful of times. We never had a proper conversation, my loss! These beautifully written words give me a sense of the kind of person that he was!!! to say that I am sorry for your loss is an understatement. Holding you close in my heart until I see you at his service…. And beyond…
