of Buffalo, NY. March 10, 2026. Beloved son of the late John T. (Helen) Morrissey; dearest brother of James Morrissey; cherished uncle of Ryan (Alyssa) Morrissey and Sean Morrissey; also survived by loving family and friends. Family will receive friends on Monday, March 16th from 4-7 PM at LOOMIS, OFFERS & LOOMIS INC. FUNERAL HOME (Memorial Chapel) 1820 Seneca Street Buffalo, NY 14210 where a service will be held at 7 PM. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorial contributions in John’s honor may be made to Roswell Park Cancer Institute. John was a Metro bus driver in Buffalo for over 40 years. He loved to volunteer at The Genesis Center in South Buffalo- serving food to those in need.
John was my buddy, before retirement he would visit my office daily and after he retired, he would come visit me at the bus station. We would laugh at how he loved Metro and even after working for the company 40 years he still couldn’t stay away. He definitely held a special place in my heart, and will be missed greatly. I send my deepest sympathy, condolences and prayers to the Morrisey family during this time of mourning.
John was a good man and will be missed. I worked with him at Metro Bus. My condolences to his family
