Jeanne Corby

Jeanne Corby, 89, of Orchard Park, NY, passed away on August 21, 2026.

Jeanne was the beloved wife of Robert Corby. She was preceded in death by her mother, Loretta George; her father, Albert Penzes; her brother, Robert Penzes Sr.; her sister, Lorraine (Emil) Bohadlo; and her brother-in-law, Harlen Weiser. She is survived by her sister, Judy Weiser.

She was the loving mother of Teri (Ralph) Scott, Craig (Laura) Edgar, and Laurie Edgar, and stepmother of Mike Newport, Mark Newport, and Kim (Brian) Pecora. She was the cherished grandmother of 11 grandchildren and great-grandmother of 14 great-grandchildren, and was also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

Jeanne was a longtime employee of the Hamburg Sun, from which she later retired. She loved nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She cherished camping at Bear Lake, and had a lifelong love of dancing and music. Above all, she will be remembered as the kindest, most caring individual, a woman whose warmth touched everyone who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jeanne’s memory to the West Falls Center for the Arts (westfallsartcenter.org) or to the Ladies Auxiliary at the Armor Fire Hall.

The family will plan a celebration of Jeanne’s life to be held at a later date.
