of Hamburg, NY. Beloved husband of Susan McPherson; dearest father of Douglas J. (Margaret) Happ and Luke D. Happ; cherished “Pop” of Lillian and expecting Johnathan Happ; loving brother of Norman (Barbara) Happ, Richard (Diedre) Happ, Keith Happ, Kate (Francis) Mayerhofer, Robert (Krista) Happ and the late Gregory Happ; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Friday, August 29th from 4-7 PM at LOOMIS, OFFERS & LOOMIS INC. FUNERAL HOME (Hamburg Chapel) 207 Main Street. A Celebration of Life service will be held on May 16, 2026 at the Taylor Road Park- Hamburg, NY. Flowers gratefully declined, memorial contributions in Doug’s honor may be made to Hospice Buffalo Inc. or Buffalo Ornithological Society. Doug was a high school biology teacher for 36 years. He had a remarkable passion and love for birding- identifying about 1000 species of birds.
