age 90, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on April 30, 2026. Greg is fondly remembered as beloved husband of Julie Dake (nee Valentine); devoted father of Gregory (Julia) Dake and

Amy Dake (Gerald Forcier, II); proud grandfather of Nathaniel (Dominique) Dake, Zachary Dake (Rebecca Cuntala), Joshua (Alexis) Dake, Neil Dake, Cassandra (Bill) Neu, Charlene Higgins (Bailey Brislin) and

Justine (Christopher) Valentine; loving great-grandfather of Nora and Lyla Neu. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Greg is preceded in death by his parents Neil and Doris Dake. The family takes comfort in knowing they will be reunited. The highlight of his life was being with family at home on Back Creek Road in Boston, New York. Greg and Julie celebrated 64 years of marriage and worked together for 35 years at their business, The Zephyr Shoppe. He was a respected member of Churchill Memorial Methodist Church and zealous baseball coach of all ages. Greg was famous for his enthusiastic handshake and infectious laugh. He surrounded his life with beautiful music, brilliant trees and flower gardens. Greg will forever be loved for his unwavering work ethic, dependability, loyalty, and generosity. A celebration of life will be held at a later
