Beloved wife of the late Andrew Chongor; dearest mother of Susan Andrea (Dan Chambers) Hanson and Julie Ann (Michael) Devine; cherished sister of the late Orton (Jean) Symer Jr., Donald (Gloria) Symer and LaVerne (Betty) Symer; also survived by nieces and nephews. Joan proudly served as a Registered Nurse Supervisor for the Erie County Health Department throughout her entire career. She was also a devout Lutheran and was passionate about traveling the world with Andrew and family, visiting over 55 countries. Family will receive friends on Saturday, January 28th from 10 AM - 12 Noon at LOOMIS, OFFERS & LOOMIS INC., FUNERAL HOME (Hamburg Chapel) 207 Main Street, where a service will be held at 12 Noon. Internment to be held privately.
