BRUMBAUGH, Jay W. of Eden passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2023. Beloved husband of Rosalie (née Enger) Brumbaugh; loving father of John, Martin (Shawn), Stephen (Dina), and Bonnie (Robert); Brother of the late John Brumbaugh; also survived by seven grandchildren.

 

Jay was born August 28, 1944, in Buffalo, the son of Claude & Elsie Brumbaugh. He graduated from Hamburg High School. He attended Cedarville University. Jay served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He returned home to begin a career at Bethlehem Steel. After 20 years, Jay began his own business, All Seasons Yard Maintenance, serving families, friends, churches, and local businesses for 34 years. Jay also served as a school bus driver for both Eden and North Collins school districts. His final bus job was driving scenic tours for the Campaign for Greater Buffalo for nine years. Throughout his adult life, one of Jay’s great joys was serving with the Eden Emergency Squad which he did for 35 years.

 

Jay trusted Jesus as his Savior at a young age, and was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. His strong, steady faith in Christ served as the foundation from which he loved and served his family. His family and friends also remember Jay as a man of prayer. He belonged to Gideons International which is an organization that distributes Bibles wherever possible.

 

The family will receive friends and family on Thursday June 1st, 4-7 PM at LOOMIS, OFFERS & LOOMIS, INC. HAMBURG CHAPEL 207 Main Street. Funeral services will be held from Faith Bible Baptist Church 8688 S. Main Street Eden NY on Friday at 1:00 pm (Church visitation 12:00 - 1:00PM)
