ANSTETT- Vincent F. “Vince”

Vincent (Vince) Francis Anstett , 82, of Angola, NY, passed away peacefully at home on September 20, 2024.

Vincent was born October 24th, 1941 in Buffalo, NY, the son of Vincent B Anstett and Florence Crosson Anstett.

Vincent graduated from South Park High School, then after two years at University of Buffalo, had a 20 year career with Bethlehem Steel in Lackawanna, NY. He went on to pursue an honorable career in corrections at Collins Correctional Facility.

Vincent married Gail Louise Greinert in 1963 and celebrated 60 years of marriage prior to her death earlier this year in April 2024. Vincent and Gail raised 5 wonderful children, 13 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.

Vincent was a selfless provider for his family, and worked as many jobs as needed to take care of them. A truly good-natured gentleman that always saw the glass half full even when confronted with debilitating medical issues. Vincent enjoyed relaying funny stories from the past, singing along with his Amazon Alexa, and watching a Bills or Sabres game with his children, grandchildren, and great children.

Remaining to cherish Vincent’s memory are his children, Steven Anstett, Melissa (Ken) Sisk, Andrew Anstett, Michael (Lisa) Anstett, and Jonathan (Elizabeth) Anstett; Siblings, Kathleen (Dennis) Major, Eileen Ulrich, Jean (Al) Spence, and Tom (Patti) Anstett; Special niece, Melanie (Eric) Rumble; Brother in law, Gary (Lynn) Greinert; Grandchildren, Samantha (Mike) Potts, Elizabeth (Mark) Anstett, Morgan (Roy) Sisk, Kenny (Rachel) Sisk, Jack Sisk, Emma Torres, Barrett Anstett, Ethan Anstett, Evan Anstett, Lawson Anstett, Lauren Anstett, Ashton Anstett, and Bauer Anstett; Great Grandchildren, Jamie Potts, Davari Bittleston, Valkyrie Potts, and Romeo Leon.


Preceding Vincent in death are spouse, Gail Anstett; parents, Vincent and Florence Anstett; sister, Judy Rumble; brother in laws, Gordy Ulrich and Darrell Spence; nephews, Darrell Spence and Vincent Spence.

A celebration of life will be held October 13th, 2024 from 2-4 PM at Loomis, Offers, & Loomis Funeral Home in Hamburg, NY.

Memorial donations in Vincent’s memory may be directed to Evan Center Fire Department, Buffalo Hospice, and Visiting Nurses Association of Western New York.
