Carol received her masters degree in nursing and retired from Roswell Park Cancer Institute. She also loved quilting.
Carol was a woman of remarkable strength and grace. She faced life's greatest challenges with quiet determination—raising three young boys on her own after losing Jack, never wavering in her commitment to give them everything they needed. But what made her truly exceptional wasn't just her strength; it was the boundless love that filled every room she entered.
To her grandchildren and great-grand children, she was Grandma, GB, GG - a figure of warmth and unwavering support, always there with a listening ear and an open heart. Her hands were never idle; she poured her talents into quilts for nearly the entire family, each one a tangible expression of her care and dedication. Yes, she could be stubborn—and we loved her for it. That strength of conviction was part of what made her who she was.
But more than anything, Carol's legacy is the depth of her heart and her absolute, unchallenged dedication to her family's well-being. She didn't just raise her sons and love her grandchildren—she showed all of us, through everything she did, what it means to put family first, to give everything you have, and to do it with grace.
Carol will rest in peace now, but she will never be forgotten. The quilts remain. The memories remain. And most importantly, the love she gave so freely will continue through all of us. Rest easy Mom.
